PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy lets you know about the information we may collect during the course of our collaboration and explains the reasons for collecting and processing that information and how we use it. It also presents how we deal with your information and data, which we treat in the strictest of confidentiality at all times by taking all necessary measures to protect it.
1. Data security and confidentiality guarantee
LEXICON collects and processes personal data and information in accordance with applicable national laws and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation).
2. Your personal data and information
We only collect and process data and information that is strictly necessary as provided by you, subject to your express consent, when you assign our Company a task or when you contact us about assigning a task or exploring collaboration. That data is collected by email, phone or via our website or even face to face. It may relate to (though this list is indicative, not exhaustive), your name-surname, phone number, email and postal address, the documents you provide us with, etc.
- - Why do we collect your data?
The purposes for which we collect and process your data and information with your consent relate to:
- • Providing translation services for the documents and texts you deliver to us.
- • Facilitating communication between us.
- • Updating records of services we have provided and our quotes.
- • Hiring you at the company, whether now or in the future.
- • Commencing external partnership with you, whether now or in the future.
- • Being able to refer back to past records to facilitate any future collaboration.
- • Briefing you about the company’s news and services.
- • Optimising our services in general.
We also collect and process your data on a basis other than consent when that is required by a provision of law (such as tax laws) and/or when specified in the contract between us.
- - How long do we retain your data in our records?
Data is retained for as long as necessary depending on the purpose for which it was collected. Generally speaking, when the purpose for which data was held and processed has been achieved or has ceased to exist, that data is deleted, subject to lawful compliance with legal obligations that make data retention mandatory.
In all events, we do not hold data for a period of more than 10 years from the initial date of collection.
- - Who can your personal data be sent to?
Solely for the purpose of providing our services (translations, etc.) your data may be provided to our employees, associates or subcontractors, who will process it to enable our services to be provided.
At our own responsibility, we ensure that the same strict data protection terms apply when we collaborate with third party translators.
In addition, save for the above cases, we never assign, transfer, disclose or distribute data to any third party, unless we are required to do so by law or by the authorities.
- - Personal data and information we receive about you from third parties
It is possible that we may receive your data from third party data controllers as part of our collaboration. In all events that third party is responsible for obtaining your consent. We seek in all instances to ensure that data is being processed in a statutorily specified manner.
3. Personal data protection
We are fully and unwaveringly committed to ensuring your data is secure. In compliance with the relevant legislation we consistently implement all necessary organisational and technical measures to ensure that your personal data and information is secure.
We only collaborate with parties who process data under the same confidentiality and security conditions as us, and we regularly update and improve our security practices.
In the unlikely event that we identify a leak or data breach, Lexicon will take all measures necessary to inform you and the authorities. If you identify a leak of your data, you must contact us immediately, within 24 hours of becoming aware of it.
4. What are your rights in relation to your personal data?

You are entitled at any time to request full access to and information about the data we have about you.
|
Right to process - rectify |
If the data Lexicon has about you is inaccurate or is wrong or incomplete, you are entitled to request that it be rectified, supplemented or updated.

You are entitled to request that your personal data be erased, if that is not contrary to a provision of law (such as tax law provisions).
|
Right to restrict processing |
You are entitled to request that the way in which your personal data is processed is restricted. That means we can retain your information but cannot process it further, and only hold any data needed for future reference.
|
Right to data portability |
You can also submit a request to Lexicon to recover and re-use your data or have it sent to third parties for the purposes and services you choose, which you have indicated to us. This will always be done in a secure, appropriate manner.
|
You can exercise any of these rights, plus the right to revoke your consent, at any time by submitting a request to that effect by email to: marketing@lexicon.com.gr. You can also send your request by mail to Lexicon. Our company is a lawful data controller for your data.
5. Changes to the Privacy Policy
This policy may be modified from time to time as a result of our ongoing endeavours to improve how we protect your personal data. Moreover, our policy will be updated each time a provision of law makes that necessary.
6. What happens if you elect not to consent to us collecting and processing your data or if you withdraw consent?
In that case we will be unable to provide our services to you.
